The State Chancellery and the Ministry of Culture of Saxony-Anhalt have announced the establishment of the “Market Surveillance Authority of the States for the Accessibility of Products and Services” (MLBF). Starting June 28, 2025, this new institution in Magdeburg will ensure compliance with national accessibility requirements for various products and services under the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG).

This initiative, supported by all 16 federal states, aims for efficient and uniform implementation of accessibility standards across Germany. Companies affected by the BFSG should begin preparations to meet these new requirements.
